Monarch Equestrian provide stables for BETA Iternational

World Horse Welfare at BETA International

This year the demonstration area at BETA International at the NEC Birmingham hosted a range of interesting product demonstrations throughout the 3 days .Once again Monarch Equestrian provided the stables for the demonstration horses and the backdrop to the presentation held on Tuesday by the World Horse Welfare .

Roly Owers, Chief Executive explained the charity's rehoming system ,and four of the ponies that had been rehomed appeared, all of whom  seems to enjoy the outing and were very well behaved! One pony had recently come back to be found a new home after the current rider had out grown her, so she will now be looking for somewhere she can continue to enjoy life as a true all rounder. Claire King ( Emmerdale star) also appeared as one of the WHW patrons and explained how she became involved with their work.www.worldhorsewelfare.com

Other demonstrations and appearnces included Charlotte Dujardin and Elle Harrison (Countryfile presenter)  continued throughout the three days.

Brixton Ebony Horse Club has Monarch Stables

The Ebony Horse Club in Brixton are celebrating their 1st year in the new purpose built Equestrian Centre, which has enabled the young people of Lambeth to have th opportunity to ride. The Charity was  set up in 2006 but until a year ago the young people had to be driven to other Riding centres in London, now they have there own base enabling many more people to have the opportunity to ride.

We hope that they are enjoying the Summer Holidays at the stables and also watching the other Equestrian activity in Greenwich Park at the Olympics, Team GB will certainly be inspiring many young people to take up riding in the future.

Monarch Equestrian complete Olympic Legacy Stables at Greenwich

          OLYMPIC LEGACY  PROJECT       

Monarch Equestrian are proud to have been chosen to build the stables that will form part of the Olympic Legacy at Greenwich.  The Monarch Barn at Shooters Hill Road  houses 20 stables and will be used for local people after the games.

Despite the poor weather conditions Monarch were able to get the Barn up on schedule, with the remainder of the site being completed after the Games.

The Monarch Barn and the rest of the Equestrian Centre has been jointly funded by Hadlow College who will be running the centre in conjunction with their Equestrian Department, together with  Greenwich Council and the ODA and LOCOG.

We are looking forward to seeing the whole project completed and in use for the local people of Greenwich, hopefully many will have been inspired by the excellent job our Eventing Team did gaining a silver medal.

Sucess or Carl Hester in Monarch Equestrian PSG at Hartpury

Competitors at Hartpury Premier League braved the elements to compete in the Monarch Equestrian CDI 3* Prix St George . The class was eventually won by Carl Hester riding Dancing with Wolves owned by Ann Gregory on an impressive score of 75.6% , 2nd and 3rd was a battle between brother and sister Michael and Maria Eilberg with only 0.08 % between them Michael took the honours with 69.84% riding his fathers Torino with Maria on 69.76 % riding C.Andersons U Rockstar.

The class was judged by an international panel from Germany , the Netherlands , Denmark and two British Judges.

Trevor Holliday M.D at Monarch Equestrian who presented the prizes, commented it was a very enjoyable class to watch and it was good to see a number of our customers competing in the class too.

Top Irish Show Jumper Billy Twomey continues to have an excellent season in the build up to the London Olympics.
Monarch provided the tailor made Majestic stables in Nottinghamshire specially  built to Billy'design when he moved to his new base.Now Billy works between his sponsors base at Pewitt Hall in Cheshire, whose stables were also supplied by Monarch and his new home in Nottinghamshire.

The beautiful stable yard provides his horses every luxury when they are at home between their international trips.

Special Monarch Horse Exerciser for the Blue Cross

Shetlands at the Blue Cross Re- homing Centre at Rolleston prepare for their exerciser session.

The Blue Cross at Rolleston -on-Dove, Staffordshire have recently had a Monarch Horse Exerciser with a differernce installed. It was always a challenge keeping their smaller residents fit and slim, so the the idea of a Horse Exerciser that catered for the smallest of ponies was put to Monarch.

The Monarch Consort Plus was modified to give rubber protection at a lower level on the inner and outer fence and specially designed pushers meant that the shetlands could see through to their companions in the next compartment.

The Blue Cross do  a wonderful job rehabiliting and re homing horses and ponies together with other animals in their care, from their centres around the country. There are two centres that cater for horses, the Hilda Archer Santuary at Rolleston on Dove, Staffordshire and the Burford Centre which is also the Head office of the Charity.
