Special Monarch Horse Exerciser for the Blue Cross

Shetlands at the Blue Cross Re- homing Centre at Rolleston prepare for their exerciser session.

The Blue Cross at Rolleston -on-Dove, Staffordshire have recently had a Monarch Horse Exerciser with a differernce installed. It was always a challenge keeping their smaller residents fit and slim, so the the idea of a Horse Exerciser that catered for the smallest of ponies was put to Monarch.

The Monarch Consort Plus was modified to give rubber protection at a lower level on the inner and outer fence and specially designed pushers meant that the shetlands could see through to their companions in the next compartment.

The Blue Cross do  a wonderful job rehabiliting and re homing horses and ponies together with other animals in their care, from their centres around the country. There are two centres that cater for horses, the Hilda Archer Santuary at Rolleston on Dove, Staffordshire and the Burford Centre which is also the Head office of the Charity. To find out more about their excellent work and how you can help have a look at their web site.http://www.bluecross.org.uk/
